Tropical and Neglected Infectious Diseases (NTDs) are a group of infections that primarily affect populations in tropical and subtropical regions, especially in low-resource communities. These diseases are often linked to poor sanitation, limited healthcare access, and environmental conditions that favor the spread of pathogens and vectors. Despite affecting millions of people worldwide, many NTDs receive limited research attention and healthcare funding. Strengthening disease surveillance, improving access to treatment, promoting public health education, and advancing global research are essential to reducing the burden of tropical and neglected infectious diseases.
