Dermato-immunology focuses on understanding the immune mechanisms underlying skin health and disease. Advances in immunology have transformed the diagnosis and treatment of autoimmune, inflammatory, allergic, and infectious skin disorders through targeted biologic therapies, immune checkpoint inhibitors, cytokine modulation, and personalized immunotherapies. Research in skin immunology continues to reveal novel biomarkers, molecular pathways, and therapeutic targets that improve patient outcomes.
