Cosmetics Regulation and policy

Cosmetics Regulation and policy

Cosmetic products encompass substances or blends designed for external use, not meant to be ingested, inhaled, injected, or implanted in the body. Legal regulations oversee cosmetics, excluding those predominantly used as medicines. Providing misleading labeling for cosmetic products is against the law. Labels must include manufacturer/importer details, ingredients, expiration dates, purpose, and precautions. Non-compliance with safety assessments and technical documentation is unlawful. The Regulation prohibits animal testing for finished cosmetic products or ingredients to meet standards. Selling cosmetic items containing ingredients or formulations tested on animals is also prohibited.
