Abstract:

In this work, we search, analyze and summarize the best evidence for surgical isolation techniques in patients with colorectal cancer. Following the "6S" model of evidence resources, an exhaustive search was conducted across multiple databases and resources. The search period was between January 1, 2013 and June 30, 2024. Two researchers evaluated the quality of the included literature, summarized and graded evidence respectively.Guidelines were evaluated using the 2010 Appraisal of Guidelines for Research and Evaluation (AGREE) II framework. Systematic reviews, quasi-randomized controlled trials, expert consensus, case reports, and prevalence studies underwent assessment via the JBI  methodology tool.A total of 19 literatures were identifed, including 5 guidelines, 7 quasi-randomized controlled trials, 2 systematic reviews, 1 expert consensus, 3 case reports and 1 prevalence study.  Finally, best evidence for surgical isolation techniques in patients with colorectal cancer was formed, including 33 pieces of evidence in 11 categories: personnel training and management, preoperative preparation of supplies, incision protection, abdominal exploration, pneumoperitoneum management, dressing management, instrument managemen, stapler management, tumor resection and specimen disposal, selection of flushing fluid, personnel attire changes, with the levels of each evidence ranging from grade 1a to grade 5b. The best evidence for surgical isolation techniques in patients with colorectal cancer is of high quality and strong authority, which can provide evidence-based support for clinical nursing staff.
