Central nervous system diseases, also known as central nervous system disorders, encompass a range of neurological conditions that impact the structure or functioning of the brain and spinal cord, collectively comprising the central nervous system.
Addictive disorders, such as substance abuse and dependence, are widespread conditions characterized by the excessive use of alcohol and/or drugs. Addiction develops gradually and represents a persistent, relapsing medical condition.
