Hypertension

Hypertension

Hypertension, or high blood pressure, is a condition where the blood pressure in the arteries is higher than normal. This can damage the blood vessels and increase the risk of heart disease, stroke, and kidney problems. Hypertension often has no symptoms, so regular check-ups are important. Some factors that can cause hypertension are age, genetics, obesity, salt intake, alcohol consumption, and lack of physical activity.
