Microbiome, Metabolites & Mental Health

The Microbiome, Metabolites & Mental Health track explores the emerging scientific connections between gut microbiota, metabolic pathways, and brain function. This track highlights groundbreaking research on the gut–brain axis and how microbial composition and metabolites influence mood, cognition, behavior, and neurological health. Sessions will examine advances in microbiome profiling, metabolomics, and systems biology approaches that uncover the mechanisms linking intestinal health with psychiatric and neurodegenerative disorders. Emphasis will be placed on identifying biomarkers, understanding inflammatory pathways, and exploring personalized interventions based on microbiome diversity. n addition, the track addresses therapeutic innovations such as probiotics, prebiotics, psych biotics, dietary interventions, and microbiome-modulating treatments aimed at improving mental well-being. Experts will discuss clinical trial design challenges, translational research opportunities, and regulatory considerations in this rapidly evolving field.
