The Geriatric Clinical Trials track focuses on advancing research tailored to the unique medical, physiological, and social needs of older adults. As global populations age, it becomes increasingly critical to design clinical studies that reflect the complexity of geriatric care, including multimorbidity, polypharmacy, cognitive changes, and functional decline. This track highlights age-inclusive trial designs, appropriate dosing strategies, and safety monitoring approaches that address altered pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics in elderly populations. Emphasis will also be placed on frailty assessments, quality-of-life endpoints, and patient-centered outcome measures that better represent real-world geriatric health priorities. the track explores ethical considerations, informed consent challenges, caregiver involvement, and strategies to improve recruitment and retention among older participants who are often underrepresented in research. Experts will discuss regulatory guidance, real-world evidence integration, and innovative decentralized approaches that reduce participation burdens.
