Touqa Abdelsamad is a final year medical student at University College Cork with a strong academic foundation in biochemistry & molecular biology, and psychology from her studies at Dalhousie University. Her research interests include oncology, maternal and neonatal health, and clinical outcomes research, with ongoing projects in breast cancer survival, maternal hypertension, and AI in breast cancer screening. She has presented research at student conferences and is actively involved in student leadership through roles in UCC Cancer Society, the Medical Research and Technology Society, and student-led advocacy initiatives.
