The global rise of neurodegenerative conditions underscores an urgent need for accessible, highly sensitive tools capable of characterizing early cognitive decline. Traditional clinical assessments, while diagnostically valuable, offer static snapshots of performance within isolated testing environments. This paper introduces the architecture and functional mechanics of NeuroSwitch, an interactive software prototype designed to profile dynamic cognitive adaptability and neuroplasticity through foreign language acquisition. Developed as a dedicated digital environment, the NeuroSwitch prototype utilizes interactive Spanish language learning—a high-demand, cross-domain cognitive task—to engage visual-auditory association, working memory, executive function, and task switching. A core novelty of the prototype lies in its algorithmic adaptive retrieval framework. As cognitive load intensifies during language acquisition tasks, the system dynamically delivers graduated contextual scaffolding. This allows for real-time quantification of not only baseline recall performance, but also individual responsiveness to cognitive support and learning resilience. To complement behavioral telemetry with objective neurophysiological indicators, the NeuroSwitch prototype integrates synchronous data streaming with eye-tracking (oculomotor metrics) and functional Near-Infrared Spectroscopy (fNIRS) to capture frontotemporal cerebral haemodynamics during live interaction. By positioning Spanish language acquisition as both a cognitive stress test and an experimental probe, NeuroSwitch offers a scalable research tool. The prototype establishes a translational bridge between interactive digital learning platforms, dual-modal neuroimaging, and preventive dementia profiling across healthy aging, Mild Cognitive Impairment (MCI), and clinical cohorts.
