This study investigates the relationship between psychological empowerment and emotional creativity among special education teachers in Riyadh. The descriptive (correlational/comparative) method was employed, with a final sample of 150 participants. Data were collected using the Psychological Empowerment Scale (Aker, 2013) and the Emotional Creativity Scale (Al-Hamdani, 2014), both validated for reliability and applicability through a pilot study. The results revealed significant positive correlations at the 0.01 level between all dimensions of psychological empowerment (meaningfulness, autonomy, competence, and impact) and emotional creativity (originality, flexibility, and effectiveness). Significant age-related differences were found only in the “impact” dimension and the overall psychological empowerment score. No significant differences were observed across marital status. Furthermore, competence and impact significantly predicted emotional creativity, while meaningfulness and autonomy did not. These findings highlight the predictive role of psychological empowerment in fostering emotional creativity, contributing valuable insights to the field of educational psychology.
