Dentistry 2027

Dr Thabang Siwela is a dentist with five years of clinical experience across Botswana’s government hospital system and the UK National Health Service. A graduate of Charles University in Prague, she is currently pursuing a master’s degree in Global Public Health. Her work explores how psychology, culture, disability and health-system design shape oral-health behaviour and access to care. At the third SciTech European Conference on Dentistry and Oral Health in Spain in May 2026, she presented “The Human Side of Dentistry,” examining dental anxiety across patients, clinicians and healthcare systems. She advocates compassionate, relationship-centred dentistry grounded in dignity and trust.
