All of us at some point in our lives will face adversity, it is not an if, but when. Adversity, is an unfortunate part of life, but how we respond to it is critical. On December 1st, 2025, my life came to a screeching halt. After one ambulance ride and a life flight, I was informed I had suffered a hemorrhagic stroke, which has a 50% mortality rate. This was more than adversity, this was a mountain. I am not alone, many have faced mountains in their lives which seem insurmountable. But, as I continue to recover, I have realized that the best way to deal with adversity is not necessarily overcome it, but to embrace it. In this engaging and inspirational keynote, I lead my audiences through the story of being fine one second and on the floor the next, I open up about the highs and the lows of my recovery, the lessons I continue to learn and share the benefits and joys that we can find in adversity if we choose to embrace it and allow it to shape us.
