Pharmaceutical applications
AI is used to advance healthcare research by analyzing biomedical literature and clinical trial data to generate new insights. One area where these insights are already being used is in drug discovery and development. Searching for and developing new pharmaceutical agents to treat a specific disease via clinical trials requires years of effort and immense financial investment. However, AI can accelerate the drug discovery process by analyzing vast datasets to identify potential drug candidates and predict how those drugs will react in the body. This can yield a significant reduction in both the cost and time required for clinical trials.
