Vision science explores the complex relationship between the eye, visual pathways, and brain in creating and interpreting visual experiences. Research in this field examines visual perception, eye movements, visual attention, oculomotor control, and the neural mechanisms underlying normal and impaired vision. Advances in eye-tracking technologies, computational vision, neuroimaging, and artificial intelligence are providing new ways to study visual behavior and neurological function. These approaches are also contributing to the assessment of visual disorders and the development of innovative diagnostic and rehabilitation methods. This session will bring together researchers and clinicians to discuss emerging discoveries connecting fundamental vision science with clinical applications, neuroscience, and next-generation visual technologies.
