Intraocular inflammatory diseases involve complex interactions between immune mechanisms, ocular tissues, infectious agents, and systemic conditions. Current research is advancing our understanding of inflammatory pathways, autoimmunity, infection-related inflammation, and mechanisms of tissue damage. The development of biologic agents and targeted immunomodulatory therapies has expanded therapeutic approaches for patients with uveitis, scleritis, and related inflammatory disorders. Emerging biomarkers, advanced imaging, and molecular diagnostics may support earlier diagnosis, disease monitoring, and individualized treatment strategies. This session will explore clinical advances, immunological mechanisms, diagnostic innovations, emerging biomarkers, and therapeutic developments in ocular inflammation.
