Childhood eye disorders can significantly influence visual development, learning, and long-term quality of life, making early detection and appropriate intervention essential. This session will explore current advances in pediatric ophthalmology, strabismus, amblyopia, refractive errors, developmental vision, and pediatric retinal disorders, with particular attention to emerging approaches for prevention and management. The growing prevalence of childhood myopia has also made myopia control and early risk assessment important areas of clinical and research interest. Advances in digital screening, artificial intelligence, imaging technologies, and remote eye-care tools are creating new opportunities for earlier identification and monitoring of childhood eye conditions. The session will provide a multidisciplinary platform for discussing innovative approaches to diagnosis, treatment, visual development, and lifelong eye health in children.
