Dr. Jana Soukupová, Ph.D. received her PhD in Physical Chemistry from Palacký University, Czech Republic. Her doctoral research focused on the synthesis, modification, and functionalization of metal nanomaterials, with particular emphasis on tailoring their properties for advanced applications. In 2014, she joined the Biointerfaces Institute at the University of Michigan, USA, working under the supervision of Prof. Joerg Lahann. During her stay, she gained extensive experience in the design and fabrication of polymer materials, including electrospinning technologies at both laboratory and production scales. This interdisciplinary experience significantly broadened her research perspective and led to her current focus on composite materials combining functional nanomaterials with polymeric or natural carriers. Her research interests include antimicrobial nanocomposites, controlled-release systems, nanofibrous materials, and the development of advanced materials for biomedical and environmental applications.
