Dr. Lunyong Zhang is an Associate Professor at the Harbin Institute of Technology (HIT), China, specializing in quantum materials, solidification physics, and advanced alloy manufacturing. He earned his B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. from HIT and has held research positions at Pohang University of Science and Technology (POSTECH), South Korea, and the Max Planck Institute for Chemical Physics of Solids, Germany. His research focuses on atomic-scale growth and property modulation of quantum materials, spin-orbit coupling, topological materials, and advanced casting technologies for aerospace applications. Dr. Zhang is an IAAM Fellow and recipient of the IAAM Scientist Award (2023) and Advanced Materials Award (2024). He has authored over 100 peer-reviewed publications in leading international journals and serves as a reviewer and editorial board member for several prestigious materials science journals.
