Brilliant Dental Continuing Education, Oral Radiology Experts, USA
Dentists of all specialties are increasingly turning to CBCT imaging to improve diagnostics and treatment planning. The information gained by 2D imaging is immense, but the dentists must not forget that they are responsible to read the entire image. Dr. Dubois will introduce a stepwise method for image review to minimize missed findings using real CBCT images to refamiliarize the participants with these important findings. Anatomic landmarks will be reviewed and knowledge refreshed as we work through system by system. Important and common Incidental Findings will be highlighted with recommendations for documentation and needed referrals. To cement our knowledge, the group will finish with an interactive case review
Dr. Kate Dubois received her DMD from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine, and completed the prestigious General Practice Residency at the University of Washington. She worked as a General Dentist throughout the Pacific Northwest for many years at positions ranging from Public Health to Private Practice. Always keen on expanding her knowledge, her expansive participation in continuing education and practical know-how from different practice types led her to understand that Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology is a discipline that is of utmost importance to the field but underrepresented in both educational opportunities and as a dental specialty. She returned to the University of Washington for certification as an Oral and Maxillofacial Radiologist and in addition to running a private practice, lectures around the world on effective use of CBCT in Dentistry
