Title : The Role of Injectable Skin Boosters in Periorbital Rejuvenation and Skin Quality Enhancement

Abstract:

Background: The periorbital region is one of the earliest facial areas to exhibit visible signs of aging due to its thin skin and constant dynamic movement. Fine lines, dehydration, loss of elasticity, and dermal thinning contribute significantly to a fatigued and aged appearance. As aesthetic dermatology continues to shift toward improving skin quality rather than merely restoring volume, injectable skin boosters have gained increasing attention as an effective minimally invasive treatment for periorbital rejuvenation.

Objective: To evaluate the clinical effectiveness and safety of injectable skin boosters in improving periorbital skin quality and achieving natural-looking rejuvenation in routine aesthetic dermatology practice.

Methods: Adult patients presenting with concerns related to periorbital aging, including fine lines, skin laxity, dehydration, and reduced skin quality, underwent individualized treatment using injectable skin boosters. Product selection and treatment protocols were tailored according to each patient’s clinical presentation, skin characteristics, and aesthetic goals. Treatment outcomes were assessed through standardized clinical photography, physician global assessment, and patient-reported satisfaction during follow-up.

Results: Treatment resulted in visible improvement in skin hydration, elasticity, texture, and overall periorbital appearance, with a reduction in fine lines and restoration of a fresher, more youthful look. Patient satisfaction was consistently high. The procedure demonstrated an excellent safety profile, with only mild transient adverse effects, including erythema, edema, and occasional bruising, all of which resolved without intervention. No serious treatment-related complications were observed.

Conclusion: Injectable skin boosters represent a safe, effective, and minimally invasive option for periorbital rejuvenation by targeting skin quality rather than volume replacement. An individualized treatment approach allows natural-looking results while maintaining facial expression and improving overall patient satisfaction. These findings support the growing role of skin boosters as an essential component of contemporary aesthetic dermatology.
