Abstract: Background: Marketing research has become increasingly important in supporting patient-centered healthcare by enabling healthcare organizations to better understand patient needs, expectations, experiences, and decision-making processes. Despite growing interest in this area, evidence remains fragmented across disciplines, limiting its application to healthcare quality improvement and strategic management. Objective: This systematic review synthesizes current evidence on the role of marketing research in patient-centered healthcare and proposes the Communication, Analytics, Relationship, and Experience (CARE) Framework as an integrated conceptual model for guiding healthcare organizations in the strategic use of marketing research.
