Dr. Samuel Honório, is a full-time teacher in the Polytechnic University of Castelo Branco, Portugal. He is a member of the Sports and Well Being Department and in SPRINT (Sport Physical activity and health Research & INnovation CenTer). SPRINT's mission is to promote an active and healthy lifestyle among the population and improve athletic performance by transferring knowledge from applied and interdisciplinary research to society, with an emphasis on technological, sustainable, and innovative approaches. Is also connected to the Insight Research Center is dedicated to exploring the multilayered aspects of human movement, and to conducting innovative research as a tool for optimizing health, performance, motor skills acquisition, and physical functions throughout the life span. He believes in the educational and formative value of sport, in a much broader dimension than simply regular physical activity, across several domains of modern society. It is dedicated to a core set of elements that are fundamental identifiers of scientific rigor and professional ethics.
