Biography:
Silvia B. S. Almeida is an Occupational Therapist at the SARAH Network of Rehabilitation Hospitals, Brazil, and holds a Master's degree in Rehabilitation Sciences. She specializes in assistive technology and neurological rehabilitation. Her clinical and research work focuses on user-centered assistive technology, spinal cord injury, device adherence, and innovative strategies that promote autonomy, occupational performance, and social participation. She collaborates in multidisciplinary research on rehabilitation outcomes, assistive technology service delivery, and the real-world implementation of assistive products.
