Biography:
Dr. Jhan Sebastián Saavedra Torres is a family medicine resident and immunology researcher specializing in immune function under microgravity. As part of NASA’s Human Research Program and the University of Cauca’s GIS group, he explores how space conditions impact inflammation and immune signaling. Certified in neurological assessment and rescue operations, he designs monitoring protocols for extreme environments. His work bridges palliative care, translational research, and space medicine to develop precision therapies for both Earth and long-duration space missions.
