Title : Role of Individualised Ultra diluted Homoeopathic medicines in Autism- An Evidence based Case Report

Abstract:

Autism is a life long Neurodevelopmental condition, that affects how people communicate, interact with others, and experience the world. The core symptoms of Autism include impaired social communication and interaction, repetitive and restricted behaviors and developmental delays. Behavioral and development therapies are considered the gold standards for addressing core symptoms of Autism. Autism is a highly heterogeneous condition with diverse biological and genetic profiles. Because of this individuality, a "one-size-fits-all" approach is rarely effective, often leading to a lack of response to conventional therapies. This case was effectively treated with Homoeopathic treatment, while tapering off the therapies. The results were demonstrated through a marked reduction in ISAA score from 79 to 65, disability percentage from 50% to 0%, marked improvement in DA from 2.9 years to 7.2 years; in SA from 2.7 years to 7.3 years; DQ from 66 to 93; SQ from 62 to 94, IQ from 69 to 94 at the end of 3 years. Modified Naranjo criteria were used to demonstrate the action result complex and effectiveness of Homoeopathy in this case. This is a unique paper and needs to be acknowledged as it demonstrates that Homoeopathic medicines can effectively help in treating the core symptoms of Autism. This could be of help to the community in large. This is one strong case and there is a need for further research in this area.
