Abstract:

Introduction:

Neurodevelopmental disorders such as Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), and Global Developmental Delay (GDD) affect brain functions related to communication, behaviour, attention, learning, and social interaction in children. These conditions often present challenges in language development, cognition, behavioural regulation, and adaptive skills. Despite advances in conventional therapies, effective management remains difficult. This study explores the clinical effectiveness of homeopathic medicines as a complementary approach in managing ASD, ADHD, and GDD.

Methods:

This study is based on clinical case observations of ten children aged 3–8 years diagnosed with ASD, ADHD, or GDD, followed over 12 months. Cases requiring major surgical intervention were excluded. Individualized homeopathic medicines were prescribed according to classical principles. Detailed case histories included developmental milestones, behavioural patterns, physical and mental generals, and possible antenatal, natal, and environmental risk factors. Remedy selection was based on the totality of symptoms. Regular follow-ups assessed progress, with no changes made to ongoing conventional treatments.

Results:

Children showed improvements in behavioural regulation, attention span, social interaction, communication, and sensory processing. Progress was also observed in cognitive functioning, psychomotor development, and developmental milestones.

Discussion and Conclusion:

Findings suggest that individualized homeopathic treatment may support developmental processes and address behavioural and cognitive concerns. Homeopathy’s holistic approach considers physical, mental, and emotional aspects. This study indicates that homeopathy may serve as a safe and supportive adjunct in managing neurodevelopmental disorders in children.
