Prof. Roy G. Beran is a consultant neurologist, accredited sleep physician, and leading authority in legal medicine. He holds academic positions at UNSW, Griffith University, and Western Sydney University, and has served in leadership roles with the Australasian College of Legal Medicine and the World Association for Medical Law. A prolific researcher and author, he has published over 400 papers, presented 450+ conference papers, and written or edited 17 books. His key research areas include epilepsy, mild traumatic brain injury, stroke, sleep, and neuroimaging. A former Royal Australian Navy Reserve Commander, he was awarded the Order of Australia in 2015.
