Holistic Treatment

Holistic medicine takes a comprehensive approach to healthcare, taking into account the individual's physical, mental, and spiritual well-being. It incorporates conventional medical treatment with complementary and alternative medicine (CAM). Although it is not intended to replace conventional medical care, it is often used in conjunction with it. Rather than simply treating symptoms, holistic medicine aims to treat the entire person and address the underlying causes of illness or distress. A holistic physician is a practitioner who specialises in this type of medicine. Some people view holistic medicine as a response to a more reactionary approach to health, which focuses solely on symptom management without addressing the root cause or contributing factors. It is important to note that holistic medicine is distinct from homeopathy, despite the similarity in terms.
